Coach Langston

Coach Jason Langston is entering his fourth year with the Illinois Crusaders and his thirteenth year in coaching. He serves as the Assistant Head Coach, Defensive Coordinator, and the leader of both the offensive and defensive line units. He also supports strength training and helps new players learn the game with confidence.

Jason has been part of the 2024 Patriot Bowl Championship and the 2025 Division 4 National Championship, and he has coached multiple athletes who earned All-Star honors at national tournaments. Before joining the Crusaders, he spent a decade coaching youth football with programs such as the Plainfield Saints, Yorkville, and the Aurora Gators.

A former All-Conference defensive lineman and team captain at West Aurora, Jason went on to play at Aurora University before earning a BA in Criminal Justice and a Master of Public Safety. Outside of football, he serves as a police officer and lives in Yorkville with his wife Laura and their sons, Nolan and Kellen.

Coach Langston’s philosophy emphasizes effort, attention to detail, and taking ownership. He values the Crusaders’ Christ-centered mission and strives to positively impact every player he coaches.
